O.C. Stuff-a-Bus Returns Dec. 13 in New Location

Popular toy drive with KABC7 and local firefighters moves to the Orange County Great Park in Irvine for 2019, from 4 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

ORANGE – Looking to help spread some holiday cheer this year to local kids in need? Consider making a donation to the 27th annual Stuff-a-Bus event on Friday, Dec. 13 – this year at a new location.

The annual toy drive for 2019 moves to the Great Park in Irvine.

The public is encouraged to bring new, unwrapped toys or sporting equipment to the Orange County Great Park, 8000 Great Park Boulevard, in Irvine from 4 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Gifts for older children and teenagers, such as skateboards, watches and make-up brushes also are welcome.

ABC7 will be on-site to broadcast the event and greet the public, while firefighters from across Southern California will help collect and load the toys into buses that will be provided by the Orange County Transportation Authority.

Other toy collections are being held this season in Los Angeles and Ventura counties and the Inland Empire. The Orange County drive has traditionally collected the largest number of toys. At its peak, the event helped fill more than 28 buses full of toys.

This year, sponsors hope to attract a similar outpouring of generosity at the Irvine location.

All donations benefit the Spark of Love Toy Drive, a program that has collected more than 10 million toys for kids in Southern California over the last 25-plus years.
