April 18, 2012
ORANGE – Residents are invited to the Fiesta Broadway celebration in Los Angeles with an opportunity to ride Metrolink for free from Santa Ana on Sunday, April 29.

The first 100 people will receive free round-trip Metrolink tickets to Fiesta Broadway, the largest Cinco de Mayo celebration in the world.

“Fiesta Broadway is a community event that draws hundreds of thousands of people each year in celebration of Cinco de Mayo,” said OCTA Chair Paul Glaab, also the mayor of Laguna Niguel. “OCTA is pleased to partner with Metrolink as an ideal way to beat the traffic, save time and arrive stress-free at the festivities.”

Tickets will be handed out beginning at 8:30 a.m. at the Santa Ana Regional Transportation Center, 1000 E. Santa Ana Blvd. in Santa Ana.

Free prizes and giveaways will be available at the station before attendees depart on the 9:37 a.m. train to Los Angeles Union Station.

Upon arrival at Los Angeles Union Station, transfer for free to the Metro Red/Purple Line, exit Civic Center and walk one block to Fiesta Broadway. The celebration begins at 11 a.m. and continues until 6 p.m.
